post wedding cake party

well, i am still waiting for wedding pictures to get to arrive so i can post. (maybe i will just make another blog page! stay tuned.)

mike and i went to HP last weekend for a little dinner and cake party with Team Harvey. we met baby rubin, at about 9 days old. he slept a lot during dinner. then we opened up our wedding cake top layer to share with the team, it was fun since matt and christine couldn't be at the wedding. and i must say, mike and i picked out yummy cake. we didn't even eat any at the wedding so it was fun to try it finally! lily is a riot!

counting down

we have a little less then two weeks before we get married. k & h are on their belated honeymoon so bleeker is staying with us. it was raining since Obama was elected, until today. a sunny, warm day and the colors of the trees are amazing. Rainbow of colored trees, Obama for president, and Almost Married. good times.

october gone and 3 weeks away

we have been doing a lot of planning for the big day. many weekend trips to RI lately and hanging out in Bristol. one day, we walked around colt state park. seneca watched the seagulls. we went to the maize maize with lily. lots of play time with the niece and nephews. i even caught Declan's first steps! a shower, bachelor weekend, my first stitches. fun times.

almost fall

I bought some mums yesterday. I started to remember all of the things I love about fall. I love that you can keep going to your garden and fill up a bag of goodies and cook yummy things. I love how gardens are filled with the late bloomers and long lasters. I love love love mums. They make me happy. Mike and I are in full swing with wedding planning (WL - wedding logistics as mike calls it). It is so great to be planning our wedding during this season.

Busy month. James and Wendy got married 2 hours north of Toronto, Mike was best man. weekend in mystic, showed mike around my childhood secret hiding places. and seneca met her new cousin, bleeker. Declan turned ONE! On to labor day and the beginning of the semester...

the garden is growing. we have been eating lots of tomato, green bean, and cucumber salads and squash ribbon dishes. mike is enjoying the fresh veggie dishes!

I finally picked some yummy veggies out of the garden this week. The tomato plants are 7 feet tall. The cucumbers are enjoying the 92 degree days. Mike bought us a shiny new grill just in time for an impromptu italian-paced bbq with Kevin and Holly. Good times.

mike, seneca, and i drove up to ithaca, ny last thursday and began the pre-wedding celebration. a little wine tasting, waterfalls, and bakery runs. a day or two in, the family started piling into the ithaca area. rehearsal dinner and then, the big day. june 28th. they got married outside on the lawn of a b & b on seneca lake (named after our dog). and then the reception party was on the top floor of a boat! it was a lovely day, perfect, really.
